Mining tower at the coal mine 'Königsborn III / IV' in Bönen (Germany). Like many others in the Ruhr valley the mine was shut down as a result of the coal crisis. Import coal is much cheaper than coal from german mines. Today only the mining tower is left. But this is a very unique one. Build in the 1920s by Alfred Fischer, one of the most talented german industrial architects in the early twentieth century.
